Marketing Operator — Toronto, ON

I build the marketing engine, then I run it.

Marketing grad (BComm, University of Guelph) turned operator. I run Freedom Engineers, a one-person software studio — so the funnels, SEO engines, and outbound systems below aren't projects I watched from the sidelines. I designed them, shipped them, and worked their numbers myself.

AI Commerce Radar

Funnel design & product launch

An AI-visibility audit tool for Etsy and Shopify sellers. I designed the full acquisition funnel — free audit → scored, shareable report → email capture → paid subscription — wrote every line of copy in it, and shipped it to production instrumented so each stage reports its own conversion numbers.

LinkRescue

SEO & content engine

A broken-affiliate-link monitor for content sites. I run its content program: a monthly Link Rot Index built from original data — 50 sites and roughly 6,500 links scanned per issue — feeding long-form posts for agencies, programmatic SEO pages, and a channel-by-channel launch calendar.

PaintPulse

Outbound & demo-led sales

An SMS-first photo-update tool for painting contractors. I built the outbound machine end to end: a 160-lead ICP database, a personalized live demo seeded for each prospect before the first email, follow-up sequencing, and a reply-to-close runbook.

Cut n' Roell Painting

Owner & operator, 2023–2025

The original P&L. I built a painting business in Muskoka and York Region from zero — referral pipeline, quoting, scheduling, collections — and later built a custom CRM to run it. Everything I know about marketing started with work that had to win real customers to pay real bills.

The AI part, plainly

I put AI agents on the repetitive 80% of marketing work — drafting outreach variants, monitoring funnel health, assembling data reports — and keep human judgment on strategy, positioning, and anything a customer actually reads.

The result is one person operating at the tempo of a small team, with an audit trail for every automated step. No buzzwords required: it's leverage, applied carefully.

About

I studied marketing at the University of Guelph (BComm, Marketing Management), then learned the unglamorous version of it running a painting company in cottage country — where the pipeline, the quotes, and the follow-up were all mine.

From there I moved into tech sales at SalesOptAI (AI voice reception for small businesses), working inbound and outbound leads, demos, and pipeline handoff.

Today I run Freedom Engineers, a portfolio of small software products, where I do the marketing for everything you see above. Based in Toronto, built for remote work.
